Since Mad Max 2 was filmed around Silverton it is fitting the Silverton Hotel has a replica Ford Interceptor (Like Mel drives in the movie) sitting out front. The hotel began life in 1885 as the towns post office, and today contains a photographic collection bearing witness to the films shot in the region.
