See this Virtual Tour in FullScreen High Definition mode.

Echo Point is one of the best known and most photographed landmarks in New South Wales. At 170m high Echo point is the tourist hub of the Blue Mountains and is visited by over 3 million people every year. The Point is located just outside the township of Katoomba, the capital of the Blue Mountains.

In this virtual tour we’ve overlooking the Jamison Valley, I’ve shot right over the top of the info board so you can identify the landmarks, just as if you were there :) We’ll take a closer look at the valley tomorrow.

This area doesn’t have high resolution maps, so they won’t be available in the posts for a couple of days. You can still see the overall maps by clicking the link below.

  2. Very impressive views. Is there any way of obtaining the words engraved on the ‘standing’ stones at Echo Point. Unfortunately when visiting there in February I did not have enough time to copy them down and would very much appreciate receiving them if possible.

    Many thanks – Valerie

  3. Thanks Valerie, I didn’t get the inscriptions either, but I’ll see if I can find out what they say.

    Thanks, Aaron.
